UW-River Falls Coach John O'Grady has 57 student-athletes listed as
recruits for the Falcon football team.
The 57 new players will join 46 returning letter winners in 2003. Of the
57 new players, six are transfer student-athletes.
The 2002 Falcons finished 3-7 overall and 2-5 and in a tie for sixth place
in the WIAC. UWRF ended the season with two wins - 13-12 over UW-Oshkosh
and 34-29 over UW-Platteville. The Falcons led the WIAC in rushing (234.3
yards per game) and have led the conference in that category every year
since 1974.
The Falcons open the 2003 season on Sept. 6 when they host Chadron, Neb.,
State at Ramer Field. Kick off is set for noon.
