Middle hitter Gina DeRosa (Sr., Maplewood, Minn. North St. Paul HS) helped the Falcons to a 4-0 record at the UWRF Trick or Treat Tournament last weekend at the Karges Center. DeRosa, 6-0, had 39 kills and averaged three kills per set. She finished the tourney with a .317 hitting percentage to lead the Falcons. She also led the team at the net with 10 solo and 12 block assists. DeRosa led the team in kills in wins against Stout (12) and Superior (11). She also had two aces. This year DeRosa is tied for the team lead in kills with 332. She also leads the team with 24 solo and 104 total blocks. DeRosa is hitting .251.

Middle hitter Gina DeRosa (Sr., Maplewood, Minn. North St. Paul HS) helped the Falcons to four wins in five matches last week, including a 3-1 WIAC win over UW-Stout. DeRosa, 6-0, had 14 kills and hit .321 in the win over Stout. In the team's 3-1 win over Loras at the UW-Eau Claire Tournament on Saturday, she had a season-high 19 kills. She hit .643 in that match. DeRosa had 52 kills and hit .277 in the five matches. She had one solo block, 11 block assists, two aces and seven digs. This year DeRosa is second on the team with 293 kills and has a .243 hitting percentage. She leads the Falcons with 14 solo and 82 total blocks.

Middle hitter Erin Green (Fr., Fridley, Minn.) helped the Falcons to a split in two WIAC matches last weekend. Green, 5-9, led the Falcons in kills in both matches. She had seven at Platteville and 10 at La Crosse. She hit .385 at Platteville and had one dig and two block assists. At La Crosse, she hit .571 with one block assist. In the two matches she had 17 kills and hit .481. This year Green has 125 kills, two aces, 17 digs and 46 total blocks. She is second on the team in blocks and fifth in kills. |

Outside hitter Kelsey Scheele (Sr., Norwood, Minn. Mayer Lutheran HS) had a great week for the Falcons helping lead the team to a 4-1 record. Scheele, 5-7, set the school’s career digs record in the team’s loss at UW-Eau Claire on Wednesday. She had 20 kills and 22 digs in the match. She now has 1,837 career digs. The Falcons finished a perfect 4-0 at the Coe Invitational over the weekend. In the five matches she averaged 3.41 kills and digs per set. She also had six service aces, two solo blocks and four block assists. This year she leads the team with 235 kills and 310 digs. Scheele has 21 aces and 36 blocks. |

Middle hitter Gina DeRosa (Sr., Maplewood, Minn. North St. Paul HS) helped lead the Falcons to two WIAC wins, over UW-Superior and UW-Stevens Point, last week. The Falcons won both matches three sets to none. She led the Falcons in both matches in kills with 16 at Superior and 11 against Stevens Point. She had a .556 hitting percentage against UWS and .273 against UWSP. She also had three block assists against the Pointers. This year DeRosa, 6-0, leads the Falcons with 181 kills (2.7 per set) and 60 blocks (.9 a set) - she has 13 solo and 47 block assists. |

Outside hitter Danielle Gibbemeyer (Fr., St. Paul, Minn. Cretin Derham Hall HS) helped the Falcons to a 2-2 record at the UW-Whitewater Invitational last weekend. She finished the tourney with 30 kills, a .312 attack percentage and eight block assists. Gibbemeyer, 5-11, played all 13 sets and averaged 2.31 kills per set. This year she has 94 kills, 57 digs and 18 total blocks.

Outside hitter Kelsey Scheele (Sr., Norwood, Minn. Mayer Lutheran HS) played two outstanding matches against nationally ranked team’s last week. She helped lead the Falcons to a win over No. 9 ranked UW-Whitewater on Saturday at the Karges Center. Scheele, 5-7, led the Falcons with nine kills, two aces and 15 digs in the win over the Warhawks. She also had two block assists. In a loss to No. 3 ranked UW-Oshkosh, she led the team again with 12 kills, two aces and 17 digs. She had two block assists in that match. This year Scheele leads the team with 128 kills and 154 digs. She also has 13 aces and 20 blocks. |

Middle hitter Gina DeRosa (Sr., Maplewood, Minn. North St. Paul HS) played well for the Falcons both offensively and defensively in the team’s five matches last week. DeRosa, 6-0, helped the Falcons to two wins in the five matches. She was named to the Gustavus Adolphus All-Tournament team after the Falcons won two of three matches. In the five matches she led UWRF with 55 kills and averaged 2.62 kills per set. She finished the week with a .224 hitting percentage. She also led the Falcons with four solo and 16 block assists. She averaged .95 blocks per set. DeRosa also had two assists, three aces and 10 digs. She had a season high 16 kills in the loss to St. Scholastica. She finished with one solo and four block assists in matches against Augsburg, Martin Luther and Carleton. |

Right side hitter Andria Vetsch (Sr., Minneapolis, Minn. Richfield HS) played well for the Falcons in the team's first five matches of the season. She played in all 39 sets and finished with 39 kills and averaged 2.05 per set. She finished with a .255 hitting percentage. Vetsch, 5-10, had seven assists, two aces, 13 digs and eight block assists.
