Kelsey Scheele Kelsey returns to the Falcon lineup as one of the top players. Kelsey is an all-round athlete who has great savvy for the game. Her work ethic and leadership brings the team's level of competition up and makes players around her play harder and better. Kelsey played in every match in 2006 collecting 163 kills and 467 digs. Look for Kelsey to take another step up throughout the 2007 season. She is the daughter of Scott and Cheryl. Majoring in accounting.

Drew Hample Drew helped the Falcons during the 2006 season sparingly, but look for her to increase her role through the season as the libero or defensive specialist. Drew is a very solid volleyball player with great court sense. She is a fierce competitor and an exceptional leader, which will help as the young Falcons learn the ropes of playing in the always-tough WIAC. She is the daughter of Dirk and Patricia. Majoring in elementary education.

Mandy McKenzie Mandy is an exceptional athlete with a tremendous desire to succeed. Mandy has the potential to become one of the top defensive players in the WIAC. She provides the Falcons with a solid and steady passing game and has tremendous instincts on defense; both skills are critical to the success of this young Falcon team. She is the daughter of Taun and Deb. Majoring in business management. |
Courtney Schroeder Courtney brings some much-needed leadership to the Falcon lineup. One of two seniors on the roster Courtney played in 75 games for the Falcons during the 2006 season and collected 145 digs. Courtney's leadership has been invaluable; she understands her role and has helped many of the young Falcons adjust to collegiate volleyball. With Courtney's guidance and experience look for the Falcons to develop into a strong team throughout the 2007 season. She is the daughter of Gene and Cindy. Majoring in elementary education.

Gina DeRosa Gina returns to the Falcon lineup after an outstanding freshman season in 2006. Gina gained valuable experience throughout the 2006 season and that will supply the Falcons with some much-needed experience. With a dominating presence at the net look for Gina to take another step forward in becoming a strong middle for the Falcons. As a freshman Gina collected 222 kills and was the team's block leader with 1.04 blocks per game. She is the daughter of Mike and Judy. Majoring in elementary education.

Becca Lippert Becca has a great physical stature with tremendous desire to succeed; when you put those two qualities together you won't be surprised when she develops into a top middle for the Falcons. Like most young middles she will need time to develop and adapt to the fast pace of the collegiate game. She is the daughter of Brad and Karen. Majoring in elementary education.

Brittany Johnson Brittany has come a long way in her first season and there's no doubt she can be an offensive weapon. A solid outside hitter Brittany has the potential to challenge for an outside hitting position. If she continues on pace her playing time will be increased significantly. She is the daughter of Rich and Claire. Majoring in elementary education.

Emily Hagen Emily is an exceptional athlete with a tremendous desire to succeed. Her work ethic and leadership brings the level of competition up and makes players around her play harder and better. The Falcons look for Emily to definitely take another step up this season. She is the daughter of Randy and Ann. Majoring in marketing.

Becky Ponick Becky comes to the Falcon volleyball program with a great amount of success. Her Stanley-Boyd High School team won the 2006 WIAA Division 3 State Championship. Becky will be called upon to lead the Falcon offensive charge during the 2007 campaign. You can't train what Becky brings to the program. She has been in a successful program and knows what it takes to be competitive at the highest level. She is the daughter of Joan and Chad Verbeten. Majoring in health and human performance. |
Nina Cooper Nina is an extremely competitive player and has all the physical tools to contribute to the Falcon lineup. Nina is a "workaholic" and has an excitable passion for the game of volleyball. Every time she leaves the gym, she has gotten better and that's a huge tribute to her love for playing volleyball. Nina is also a gifted leader; her spirit and good humor make it easy for the young Falcons to follow. Look for Nina to gain more court time as the season progresses. She is the daughter of Steve and Carolyn. Majoring in health and human performance.

Tara Metcalf Tara is a good athlete with a strong work ethic and has come into the Falcon program and picked up skills and techniques quickly. Tara is an explosive jumper with good defensive and passing skills. In time she can develop into a top outside hitter for the Falcons. She is the daughter of Boyd and Lori. Majoring in health and human performance. |
Ashley Wheeler Ashley brings excellent volleyball skills and experience to the Falcons. Ashley is a good athlete and has competed at the highest level with her Moorhead High School team earning two trips the Minnesota State tournament in her junior and senior seasons. Ashley is a fundamentally sound player who will contribute to the Falcon lineup as a rightside hitter. She is the daughter of Robert and Tracy. Majoring in math. |
Andria Vetsch Andria gained valuable experience as a member of the Falcon volleyball team last season. A hard worker and determined player Andria has developed into a strong player for the Falcons. Physically, Andria is capable of dominating at the net from a hitting and blocking standpoint. She is another player the Falcons look towards becoming a dominant performer throughout the season. She is the daughter of Terri. Undecided on a major.

Krista Russell Only one of two seniors on the roster Krista will be called upon not only to lead, but also contribute to the overall success of the team. Playing in a limited role throughout her career Krista has all the ability to keep the Falcons competitive. Krista will be not only one of our biggest threats offensively, but just her presence on the court from a leadership standpoint will really help the young Falcons. She is the daughter of Keith and Ann. Majoring in marketing communications.

Elizabeth Braun Elizabeth is another good athlete with a good work ethic, and when you put those two things together she's going to be a good player for the Falcons. As with any young middle she will need time to adapt and learn the collegiate game. She is the daughter of Dan and Teri. Majoring in animal science. |
Justine Speckel Justine begins her second season with the Falcon volleyball program. The two-sport athlete (basketball) has a strong work ethic and a great understanding for the game. Look for Justine to contribute and add experience and depth to the Falcon line up. She is the daughter of Tim and Patty. Majoring in biology.

Samantha Kaminski Samantha has great athletic ability, which will help her transition into the collegiate game. She has a tremendous desire to compete and excel and with those characteristics you know she will succeed. Like all great athletes, as Samantha develops she has the potential to develop into a dominate outside hitter for the Falcons. She is the daughter of David and Janet. Majoring in animal science with an equine emphasis. |
Margret Rubis Margret will be a big surprise to a lot of people. A steady presence at the net Margret will provide the Falcons with strong, reliable middle play. This will be a big learning year for Margret as she learns the fast transition of the collegiate game. The Falcons look for her to secure and learn her position as a middle blocker and contribute to the game as a young player. She is the daughter of Craig and Karen. Majoring in social work. |
Amy Weber Amy brings great high school and club experience to the Falcons. Amy is a "natural" at the passing and defensive parts of the game. Small in stature, Amy plays big in the front row. She has a great concept of what is needed to score as a hitter and she can get the job done with efficiency. The Falcons look for Amy to give some stability to the Falcon line up. She is the daughter of Gary and Bonnie. Majoring in English literature. |
Ali Busby A hard-working athlete Ali is the essence of team player. Though her court time has been limited she bring an ideal persona to the gym and her contributions go well beyond playing time. Ali is the type of player who can provide the Falcons with many different roles throughout the season. Look for Ali to develop into a reliable rightside hitter for the Falcons. She is the daughter of Carl and Shawn. Majoring in health and human performance. |
Lyndsey Ihrke Lyndsey is a great surprise for the Falcons. Lyndsey is going to be a great middle for the Falcons as she develops. A natural jumper and quick study, it will only be a matter of time before she finds her way to the court. Her work ethic is excellent and the Falcons are excited to see her progress throughout the season and her career. She is the daughter of Lew and Penny. Majoring in elementary education. |
April Reamann April is another great surprise for the Falcons. The Bismarck, N.D., native brings a solid passing and defensive game to UW-River Falls. April has the athletic ability to develop into a very good defensive specialist or libero for the Falcons. She is the daughter of Nadine Isaak and Jim Reamann. Major is undecided. |
Samantha Cole Samantha comes from a solid high school program where she played middle and rightside. She will be trained at the rightside position. Samantha is a good athlete and very coachable player, which should help her adapt quickly to the collegiate game. She is the daughter of Kathleen. Majoring in communicative disorders and Spanish. |
Laura Eversman Laura has taken the past year to work hard on her game. She has a strong desire to succeed and will be added to the Falcon line up as a setter or defensive specialist. This season will be one of learning and growing into a role that can help the Falcons in the future. She is the daughter of Mark and Kathy. Majoring in elementary education. |
