Becca Jordahl (Jr., Pocatello, Idaho Century HS) set a school record at the prestigious Stanford University Invitational on Saturday in Palo Alto, Calif. Jordahl finished the 10,000-meter race in 35:43.63 competing against mostly NCAA Div. I runners. She placed 14th in her heat. She broke the Falcon record of 37:46.24 set by Sandy Cryer in 1982. Her time is currently the best time in the NCAA Div. III and she automatically qualified for the NCAA National Meet.

Krista Hasselquist (Sr. Osceola, Wis.) set a school record in the discus at the UW-River Falls Invitational held Saturday at Ramer Field. She set the record with a personal best throw of 148-10. She broke Jen Pontius’ record of 147-7 set in 1996. Her distance was a NCAA Meet provisional distance. Hasselquist had a second provisional qualifying mark in the shot put. She placed third with a throw of 43-0 ¼. |

Vicki Cooper (Sr. DeForest, Wis.) performed well for the Falcons at the University of Alabama Relays held last week in Tuscaloosa, Ala. She placed fourth in the discus with a throw of 140-5, seventh in the shot put with a throw of 43-9 3/4 and seventh in the javelin with a throw of 124-4. Both the discus and shot put efforts are NCAA Div. III provisional qualifying throws. Cooper competed against NCAA Div. I and II student-athletes in the Relays. |

Christine Peters (Jr., Red Wing, Minn.) had a personal best time in the 3,000-meter run at the Parents' Day Open at the University of Minnesota on Saturday. She finished ninth overall with a time of 10:44. "Her previous best time was 10:57 in her freshman season. The time earned her a spot to run in the WIAC meet," said Falcon Assistant Coach Scott Sekelsky. |

Becca Jordahl (Jr., Pocatello, Idaho Century HS) smashed the Falcon 5,000 meter school record at the Iowa State Classic on Friday. She finished in 16:49.27 and placed sixth running against mostly NCAA Div. I competition. She had set the 5,000 record earlier this year with a time of 17:21.45. She took about 32 seconds off her previous record. Her time automatically qualified her for the NCAA Div. III National Meet. "This just might be her best race yet," said Falcon assistant Coach Scott Sekelsky. " She did not let the size of the meet or the competition intimidate her, she just went out and ran her race." There were 57 runners in the 5,000-meter race.

Vicki Cooper (Sr. DeForest, Wis.) had two second place finishes at the Superior Challenge on Saturday in Duluth, Minn. She threw the shot put 43-11 3/4 and in the 20-pound weight throw event she had a throw of 52-5. Both throws were NCAA Div. III National Meet provisional qualifying efforts. Both efforts were her best of the season. |

Becca Jordahl (Jr., Pocatello, Idaho Century HS) broke the Falcon record in the mile at the UWRF Coca Cola Classic held Saturday at the Knowles Building. She finished second with a time of 5:06.59. The record was 5:08 set by Donna Lundeen in 1980. |

Becca Jordahl (Jr., Pocatello, Idaho Century HS) set a school record at the MSU-Mankato Open held Saturday. She set the record in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:21.45. That broke the old Falcon record by 38 seconds. Her time was a provisional qualifying time for the NCAA Div. III meet. It was the first time that she had run the race in a college meet.

Thrower Krista Hasselquist (Sr., Osceola, Wis.) had a great weekend at the Stout Open held Saturday in Menomonie. Hasselquist, 6-1, set a school record in the shot put with a toss of 46-4 ¼. She placed first and the throw was a NCAA provisional qualifying distance. She also placed second in the weight throw with a toss of 49-6 ½. That effort was also a NCAA provisional qualifying distance. |
