Shannon Amans Shannon Amans is in her second season with the Falcons. She is a right-handed player who prefers to play doubles. Her best stroke is her backhand. Her tennis goals are to improve her forehand and to work on her singles game. Her most memorable college tennis experience is winning her first singles and doubles match. Amans was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll in 2006-07. Her hobbies include listening to music, hanging out with friends, watching tennis and lifting weights. | Katie Lynn Anderson 5-9, Junior Forest Lake, Minn. Forest Lake High School Katie Lynn Anderson is in her third year with the Falcons. In 2006 she was named to the second All-WIAC team at No. 2 doubles with teammate Mindy Rudiger. The two finished second at No. 2 doubles at the WIAC Championships. They had the team's best doubles record - 10-7. Anderson and Rudiger were named the team's doubles Team of the Week three times - on Oct. 9, Sept. 25, and Sept. 11. She also played at No. 4 singles and finished 7-9. She has a 15-19 career singles record and a 10-11 career doubles mark. Anderson was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll in 2006-07. She is a right-handed player who prefers to play singles. Her best stroke is her forehand. Her most memorable college tennis moment was when she teamed with Rudiger to beat the No. 1 seeded La Crosse team in the semifinals at the 2006 WIAC Championships. | Britany Bach 5-9, Freshman Henderson, Minn. Le Sueur-Henderson High School Brittany Bach is in her first season with the Falcons. She plays right-handed and her best stroke is her forehand. Her college tennis goals are to improve her strategies and game and to meet and make friends. Her most memorable high school tennis experience was advancing to the state tournament after defeating the No. 1 doubles team from Rochester Lourdes. Her hobbies include fishing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, reading, attending concerts, traveling, working out, playing tennis, drawing, and visiting with friends and family. Her best shot is her backhand slice. Her most memorable tennis moment is being part of the first Delano tennis team to make it to state and advancing to state as an individual. Her college tennis goals are to be in the top eight for the Falcons. Her hobbies include reading, hanging out with friends, and boating. Britney Brouwer Britney Brouwer is in her first season with the Falcons. The right-handed player prefers to play singles and her best stroke is her backhand. Her college tennis goals are to wok hard and do the best she can. Her most memorable tennis moment is attending Tennis and Life Camps at Gustavus Adolphus College. Her hobbies include writing, reading, wakeboarding, any other kind of water sport, and tennis. Kathryne Ostrowski Kathryne Ostrowkski is back for her second season with the Falcons. She had a great freshman campaign finishing 7-8 at No. 2 singles and 7-8 at No. 1 doubles. She was named the team's singles Player of the Week on Sept. 11. Ostrowski was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll during the 2006-07 school year. The right-handed player's best stroke is a topspin forehand. Her most memorable tennis moment was the team's first overnight trip last year. Her college tennis goal is to improve her backhand. | Jenna Rice 5-5, Freshman Maple Grove, Minn. Maple Grove High School Jenna Rice is in her first year of collegiate tennis with the Falcons. Her best stroke is the volley. She is a right-handed player who prefers to play doubles. Her most memorable tennis moment came in her sophomore year in high school when her team went to a tournament in Virginia, Minn. Her tennis goals are to improve her game, develop a killer serve, have fun, and make long-lasting friends. Mindy Rudiger Mindy Rudiger is back for her third season with the Falcons. She was named the team's Most Valuable Player in 2006. Last year she had a 9-7 record at No. 5 singles and a 10-7 record at No. 2 doubles. She has a 20-9 career singles record and a 12-13 career doubles mark. Rudiger and doubles teammate, Katie Anderson, were named to the second All-WIAC team after placing second at the WIAC Championships. Rudiger was named the team's singles Player of the Week on Oct. 9 and the team's doubles Team of the Week on Sept. 11, Sept. 25 and Oct. 9. She was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll for the 2006-07 school year. In 2005 Rudiger placed second at No. 6 singles in the WIAC Championships. She finished with an 11-2 record. She was named the Most Improved Player after the 2005 season. She is a right-handed player who prefers to play singles. Her best stroke is her backhand. Her most memorable tennis moment was playing at state in high school. Her college tennis goal is to win a WIAC championship. Her hobbies include softball, camping, and working out. The Nairobi, Kenya native's most memorable tennis experience is making ling-time friends and road trips. Her tennis goal is to be the best player she can. Her hobbies include tennis, watching movies, meeting new people from different cultures, riding bike, reading, listening to Christian music, and hanging out with friends and her mom. | Cassie Wood 5-3, Sophomore Wells, Minn. United South Central High School Cassie Wood is back for her second season with the Falcons. She is a right-handed player who prefers to play singles. Her best stroke is her backhand. In 2006 she had an 8-8 record at No. 3 singles and was 5-3 at No. 3 doubles. Wood was the team's singles Player of the Week on Sept. 25th and was a part of a doubles Team of the Week on Oct. 2nd. She was named to the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.
