Falcons Win Against St. Mary's; Ready For WIAC Championships

The Falcon swim team participated in a dual meet on Saturday in which both the men’s and women’s teams won against St. Mary’s. The men won 120-91, and the women bested St. Mary’s 102-82.

The Falcon relay teams only came out on top in one relay even on the evening. The Falcon 400 yard freestyle relay team came out on top. The team consisting of Kevin O’Brien, Dan Blasberg, Dan Ehrenberg, and Mars Delgado came in with a time of 3:28.89. Becca Goldman finished in third place in the women’s 1 meter diving competition with a score of 118.00.

Alyssa Adair took first place in the women’s 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:46.51. She also finished second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:00.75. Anthony Orlando finished first in the men’s 1000 coming in at 11:17.02. Kevin O’Brien finished first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:54.08. O’Brien also finished first in the 200 butterfly coming in at 2:06.72. Sarah Koch finished first in the 400 IM with a time of 5:11.40.

The Falcons next meet is at the WIAC Championships at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center Feb. 11-13. The action is set to begin each morning at 10 a.m., on Thursday and Friday and 10:30 a.m., on Saturday.
