Position
Left fielder Rachel Mathias (Sr., Ripon, Wis.) helped the Falcons to five wins in six games last week. Mathias, 5-5, hit .438 in the six games. She was 7-16 with four runs scored. She hit three home runs and had 10 RBI. She also walked four times and had a .550 on-base percentage. She finished the week with a 1.000 slugging percentage. Mathias also had four put outs in the field and made no errors. She hit a three-run homer in the eighth inning to win the game in the team's 8-5 extra inning victory over UW-Oshkosh on Friday. In the team's 5-1 win over UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, she hit a grand slam home run in the second inning to put the Falcons ahead 4-0 at the time. Trailing 3-0 against Hamline on Thursday, Mathias led off the seventh inning with a solo homer to left. The Falcons tied the score in the seventh and won the game in the ninth. This year Mathias is hitting .311 with two doubles, three homers and 19 RBI. She has scored 15 runs and stole three bases.
Pitcher
Right hander Rose Tusa (Fr., Roseville, Minn. St. Anthony Village HS) pitched well for the Falcons and helped the team with five of six games played last week. Tusa finished 3-0 with a 0.64 ERA. She appeared in five games and started four times. She threw one complete game. Rose, 5-10, pitched 22 innings and allowed just two earned runs. She struck out 34 and walked just five. Opponents hit .222 against her. Tusa pitched all six innings and shutout Hamline in the team's 8-0 win. She allowed just two hits, both singles. Tusa struck out a season high 12 batters. In an 8-5 eight-inning win over UW-Oshkosh, she picked up the win pitching 6.1 innings. She allowed seven hits and just one earned run. She struck out six in that outing. In a 5-1 win over UW-Stevens Point, she started and worked three innings. She allowed just one hit - a first inning single. She struck out five and didn't walk a batter. She couldn't earn the win since she worked only five innings. Tusa did pick up a win in the team's 9-1 win over UWSP in game two. She worked five innings and allowed just five hits and one earned run. She struck out eight and walked two. This year Tusa is 8-3 overall with a 1.84 ERA. She has pitched 72.1 innings and struck out 82. Opponents are hitting .254 against her.

Position
Shortstop Mindy Rudiger (Sr., Menomonie, Wis.) was one of the team's top hitters in six WIAC games last week. Rudiger, 5-7, was 11-20 at the plate for a .550 average. She scored eight runs and had eight RBI. She led the team with three doubles and she also hit a three-run homer in the team's 16-6 win at UW-Platteville on Saturday. She was 4-5 in the game with three runs scored and four RBI. She also walked three times, had a .609 on-base percentage and a .850 slugging percentage. This year Rudiger is hitting .404, has scored 30 runs and leads the team with 40 hits. She leads UWRF with eight doubles and six home runs. She has 34 Rbi and has stolen five bases. Rudiger has a team-best .667 slugging percentage.

She has pitched 50.1 innings and has struck out 48 and walked 23. Opponents are hitting .266 against her.

Infielder Sarah Fern (Fr., Brooklyn Center, Minn. Park Center HS) helped the Falcons to three wins in four games last week. In the team's WIAC sweep of UW-Stout, Fern was a perfect 6-6 at the plate with four RBI. In four games she was 8-12 at tee plate for a .667 average. She also led the Falcons with seven RBI. She walked twice and had a .714 on-base percentage. She handled 28 chances in the field without an error. She played first base in three games and third base in one. This year Fern, 5-9, is second on the team with a .414 average. She has three doubles and three homers and leads the team with 28 RBI. Fern has a .586 slugging percentage and a .488 on-base percentage. She has committed just one error in 131 fielding chances.

Right hander Jamie Klein (Fr., Elk River, Minn.) pitched well for the Falcons in all four games played last week. Klein, 5-7, started three games and finished with a 2-0 record and 1.75 ERA. She threw one complete game in an 8-0 five-inning win over UW-Stout on Saturday at Ramer Field. She also got the win in the team's 6-4 win at Bethel. She threw 16 innings and allowed 14 hits. She allowed five runs and four were earned. She walked just five and struck out 12. Opponents hit .241 against her. This year she has a 7-4 record with a 2.48 ERA. She has struck out 56 in 65 innings pitched. She has throw two shutouts and opponents are hitting .225 against her.

Position
Shortstop Mindy Rudiger (Sr., Menomonie, Wis.) helped the Falcons to two wins at the Augusuta, Ill., College Tournament last weekend. The right-handed hitter went 3-6 in the two games for a .500 average. She hit a solo homer in the team’s 7-3 win over Ripon. In the team’s 9-1 win over Augustana she knocked in two runs with a double in the fourth inning. This year Rudiger, 5-7, is hitting .370 and leads the team with four doubles, five home runs and 22 RBI.

Right hander Jamie Klein (Fr., Elk River, Minn.)picked up the win in the team’s 7-3 victory over Ripon on Saturday at the Augustana, Ill., College Tournament. She pitched five innings giving up three hits, one walk, and no runs while striking out four. This year Klein, 5-7, has a 5-2 record with a 2.16 ERA. |

Position
Center fielder Jessica Lundgren (Jr., Cushing, Wis. St. Croix Falls HS) helped the Falcons to a 7-3 record during the team’s spring break trip at the Rebel Spring Games in Orlando, Fla. Lundgren, a 5-7 slap hitter, started all 10 games and hit .613 to lead all Falcon hitters. She was 19-31 with one RBI. She also led the Falcons with 13 runs scored. She walked twice and stole eight bases and was not caught stealing. She had three stolen bases in the win over Fontbonne. She also had three sacrifices and struck out only once. In the field, Lundgren had 17 put outs and one assist and did not committ an error. She hit safely in the final nine games of the trip. Lundgren leads the Falcons with a .595 average and 16 runs scored.

Shortstop Mindy Rudiger (Sr., Menomonie, Wis.) helped the Falcons to two wins in four games last week. The Falcons won two games against Augsburg (8-3, 10-4) and lost twice to No. 5 ranked St. Thomas (10-6, 4-1). Rudiger, the team’s lead off hitter, went 7-15 at the plate for a .467 average. She hit three home runs and a double and had a 1.133 slugging percentage. She also knocked in nine runs and scored seven times. Rudiger walked once and had a .500 on-base percentage. She did not strike out. She was charged with just one error in 21 fielding chances (.952).
