Six Earn All-NCHA Honors

Six members of the Falcon women's hockey team have been named to 2008 All-NCHA teams.
Forward Jenna Scanlon (Sr., Apple Valley, Minn.) and defenseman Kacie Anderson (Sr. Salem, Wis.) were both named to the first team. Forward Jessica Thompson (Fr., Shoreview, Minn.), defenseman Jessie Dyslin (Jr., South St. Paul, Minn.) and goalie Cassi Campbell (Fr., Anchorage, Alaska), all earned honorable mention. Forward Abby Sunderman (So., Le Sueur, Minn.) was named to the All-Academic team.
Scanlon, who was named to the first team in 2007 and earned honorable mention in 2006, led the Falcons with 13 goals and she finished with 19 points. Scanlon, 5-11, scored four power-play goals and three game-winners.
Anderson, 5-1, played in all 25 games and scored two goals and 15 points. She scored two power-play goals.
Thompson, 5-6, played in all 25 games and scored six goals and 18 points. She scored two power-play goals and one game winner.
Dyslin, who earned honorable mention to the team in 2007, played in all 25 games and scored four goals and 16 points. She was the team's top scoring defenseman. Dyslin,5-5, scored three power-play goals and one game winner.
Campbell, 5-6, played in all 25 regular season games. She had a 1.81 goals against average and a .926 saves percentage. She recorded four shutouts.
Sunderman, 5-4, was named to the All-Academic team. To be named to the team a player must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 and be recommended by her head coach. She played in 24 games and scored seven goals and 15 assists. She had two power-play goals and one game winner.
The Falcons finished the regular season with a 15-8-2 record and placed third in the NCHA with an 11-6-1 record. The Falcons play Finlandia on Friday in the first game of the NCHA Tournament at UW-Superior. The puck drops at 3 p.m.
