Nov. 12

Offense

Running back Nathan Anderson (Sr., Marinette, Wis.) had another great game running the ball in the team's 23-20 loss at Oshkosh on Saturday. The 5-9, 214 pounder carried the ball 34 times for 208 yards and he scored one touchdown on a 1-yard run in the second quarter that tied the game, 7-7, at the time. He finished the season with 321 carries for 1,468 yards and 14 touchdowns. He averaged 4.6 yards per carry and had a long run of 47 yards. The 321 carries is a single season record. In his career he rushed for a school record 4,220 yards on 960 carries. He scored 24 touchdowns and averaged 4.3 yards per carry. The 960 career carries is a school record. He rushed for more than 100 yards 22 times in his career and had five games that he rushed for more than 200 yards.

Defense
Tackle Sean Wolf (Sr., Jordan, Minn.) played a solid game in the Falcon interior defensive line in the team's 23-20 loss at Oshkosh on Saturday. The 5-10, 235 pounder had eight solo tackles in the game. He had two tackles for loss (5 yards) and recovered a fumble. The fumble recovery came at the UWO 48 and led to the Falcons final touchdown of the game that brought UWRF to within 23-20. Wolf finished the season with 22 solo and 35 total tackles. He had 4.5 tackles for loss, including one sack. He recovered two fumbles.

Special Teams
Punter Eric Stoller (Fr., Algoma, Wis.) had another fine day kicking the ball in the team's 23-20 loss at Oshkosh on Saturday. He punted five times and averaged a season-high 45.2 yards per punt. He had a long of 51 and had one downed inside the Oshkosh 20. The 6-2, 215 pounder averaged 38.9 yards on 41 punts this season. He had nine punts downed inside the opponents' 20.

Nov. 5

Offense

Wide receiver Michael Zweifel (Fr., Whitewater, Wis.) set a WIAC single game record with 18 receptions in the team’s 49-34 loss to La Crosse on Saturday at Ramer Field. The 18 receptions broke the WIAC record of 17 that was held by three players. Zweifel had 149 receiving yards and scored on a 3-yard pass play in the second quarter to tie the game at the time, 21-21. He had a long reception of 25. This year the 6-1, 175 pounder has 85 catches for 945 yards and seven touchdowns. The 85 catches and 945 yards are both school records.

Defense
End Gregg Neumann (Sr., Lakeville, Minn.) played well in the team’s 49-34 loss to La Crosse on Saturday at Ramer Field. The 6-4, 240 pounder had two solo and four total tackles. He had two sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss. He also forced a first quarter fumble, on a sack, that was recovered by the Falcons at the UWL 38. That turnover led to a Falcon touchdown that gave UWRF a 14-7 lead. This year Neumann has 22 solo and 46 total tackles. He has 14 tackles for loss, including 11.5 sacks. He has 22.5 career sacks.

Special Teams
Punter Eric Stoller (Fr., Algoma, Wis.) had another solid effort in the team’s 49-34 loss to La Crosse on Saturday at Ramer Field. He had three punts and averaged 34.3 per kick. He had two downed inside the UWL 20. This year the 6-2, 215 pounder has punted 36 times and averaged 38.1 yards per kick. He has had eight punts downed inside the opponents’ 20.

Oct. 29

Offense

Running back Nathan Anderson (Sr., Marinette, Wis.) was a work horse for the Falcons in the team’s 42-36 overtime win over UW-Platteville on Saturday at Ramer Field. The 5-9, 214 pounder carried the ball 42 times and rushed for 215 yards. He scored three touchdowns, including the game winning score on a 4-yard run in overtime. He also scored on 1-yard runs in the second and third quarters. With the 215 rushing yards, he went over the 1,000-yard mark for the season and now has 1,117 rushing yards. He has scored nine touchdowns and averages 4.5 yards per carry. With the 215 rushing yards on Saturday he is now the UWRF career rushing leader with 3,869 yards. This is the second time he has rushed for more than 1,000 yards in a season.

Defense
Strong safety Joe Simonson (Sr., Ogilvie, Minn.) made several big plays in the secondary for the Falcons in the team’s 42-36 overtime win over UW-Platteville on Saturday at Ramer Field. The 6-0, 190 pounder made one solo and five total tackles. He had a half tackle for loss, broke up a pass and had an interception. The interception came late in the first quarter with the Pioneers at the UWRF 35. Simonson intercepted the ball at the Falcon three to stop the drive. This year Simonson has started all eight games and has 40 tackles. He has 2.5 tackles for loss and two sacks. He leads the team with three interceptions. He has four pass break ups and blocked a kick.

Special Teams
Linebacker Bruce Baillargeon (Sr., Somerset, Wis.) played an important role for the Falcons on special teams in the 42-36 overtime win over UW-Platteville on Saturday at Ramer Field. The 6-0, 193 pounder returned three kick offs for 107 yards, including returns of 41 and 47 yards. He also had two tackles on punt and kick off coverage teams.

Offense

Wide receiver Michael Zweifel (Fr., Whitewater, Wis.) had another excellent game for the Falcons in the team’s 28-27 loss at Stout on Saturday. The 6-1, 175 pounder led all receivers with six catches for 73 yards. He had a long reception of 27 yards.  He leads the Falcons with 50 receptions and 656 yards. He has caught five touchdown passes.

Defense
Tackle Mike Larson (So., Ashland, Wis.) was one of the team’s top defensive players in the Falcons 28-27 loss at Stout on Saturday. The 5-10, 225 pounder made four solo and six total tackles. He had one sack (five yards) and two tackles for loss (nine yards). The sack came in the fourth quarter. He has played in all seven games for the Falcons this season and has 12 solo and 25 total tackles. He has 3.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and one quarterback hurry.

Special Teams
Punter Eric Stoller (Fr., Algoma, Wis.) had another solid punting game for the Falcons in the team’s 28-27 loss at Stout on Saturday. The 6-2, 215 pounder punted five times and averaged 36.6 yards per kick. He had a long of 45. In the second quarter he had a 36-yard punt that was downed at the Stout four. On the next play Stout fumbled the ball and the Falcons recovered at the Stout 15. He has punted 28 times this season and averages 38.2 yards per kick. He has had a long of 51 and had four downed inside the opponents’ 20.

Offense

Running back Nathan Anderson (Sr., Marinette, Wis.) had another outstanding day running the ball in the team's 27-20 win over Eau Claire on Saturday at Ramer Field. The 5-9, 214 pounder carried the ball 33 times and gained 124 yards. He scored on an 8-yard run in the second quarter to put the Falcons ahead, 14-7, at the time. It was Anderson's 19 th career 100+ rushing yard game. He has gone over the 100-yard mark in all but one game this season. Anderson leads the Falcons with 813 rushing yards and he has scored six times. He is averaging 4.5 yards per carry.

Defense
Cornerback Jamie Bisch (Sr., Roberts, Wis. St. Croix Central HS) helped lead the Falcon defense in shutting down the Eau Claire offense in the team's 27-20 win on Saturday at Ramer Field. The 5-10, 180 pounder made three solo and had five total tackles in the game. He broke up one pass on a solid hit near the sideline in the first quarter. This year Bisch has 16 solo and 19 total tackles. He has one interception and three pass break

Special Teams
Lineman Nate Tenut (Sr., Phillips, Wis.) made the play of the game on special teams for the Falcons in the team's 27-20 win over Eau Claire on Saturday at Ramer Field. The 6-8, 325 pounder blocked a UWEC extra point kick that would have tied the game. UWEC scored a touchdown with just 1:33 to play to cut the Falcon lead to 21-20. On the point after Tenut penetrated up the middle to block the kick.

Offense

Running back Nathan Anderson (Sr., Marinette, Wis.) had another strong game for the Falcons in the team's 38-12 loss at Whitewater on Saturday. He carried the ball 23 times and gained 126 yards. He averaged 5.5 yards per carry and scored on a 6-yard run in the second quarter. It was the 18th career 100+ yard rushing game for the 5-9, 214 pounder. It was his fourth game going over 100 yards this year and he has reached the 100-yard mark in four straight games. He leads the Falcons in rushing with 689 yards and five touchdowns. He averages 4.7 yards per rush.

Defense
Linebacker Bruce Baillargeon (Sr., Somerset, Wis.) led all players in tackles in the team's 38-12 loss at Whitewater on Saturday. The 6-0, 193 pounder finished with 17 solo and 22 total stops. He had one tackle for a loss of five yards. Baillargeon has had double digits in tackles in four of the team's five games this season. He leads the Falcons in tackles this year with 42 solo and 64 total stops. He has forced two fumbles and had two tackles for loss.

Special Teams
Andy Marx (Sr., Ringle, Wis. D.C. Everest HS) played well in several areas of special teams play in the team's 38-12 loss at Whitewater. The 6-6, 240 pounder is the team's long snapper. "Andy did a great job on all of his snaps. He also blocked well and played an important role in coverage," said Falcon Coach John O'Grady.

Offense

Wide receiver Michael Zweifel (Fr., Whitewater, Wis.) set a school single game pass receptions record in the team's 45-42 loss at UW-Stevens Point on Saturday. The 6-1, 175 pounder caught 12 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns. He caught touchdown passes of 15 yards with 5:22 to play in the first quarter and with 13:55 to play in the first half. The two scores gave the Falcons a then 21-7 lead. He had a long reception of 28 yards. This season Zweifel leads the team with 36 receptions for 474 yards and four touchdowns. He is averaging 13.2 yards per catch and 118.5 receiving yards per game.

Defense
End Gregg Neumann (Sr., Lakeville, Minn.) set a school single game record with four quarterback sacks in the team's 45-42 loss at UW-Stevens Point on Saturday. He made five total tackles and also recovered a fumble. The four sacks accounted for 32 yards lost by the Pointers. Neumann, 6-4, 240 pounds, made back-to-back sacks in the first quarter. The first was for a loss of 10 yards and the second a loss of four yards. With 1:19 to play in the first quarter Neumann recovered a UWSP fumble at the Pointer 35 yard line and that led to a Falcon touchdown early in the second quarter. Later in the second quarter Neumann recorded his third sack for a loss of 11 yards. His fourth sack came in the final quarter for a loss of seven yards. This year Neumann has 12 solo and 22 total tackles. He has 6.5 sacks, a quarterback hurry and one fumble recovery.

Special Teams
Kicker Dan Keller (Jr., St. Paul, Minn. Cretin-Derham Hall HS) had a perfect day in extra points for the Falcons in the team's 45-42 loss at UW-Stevens Point on Saturday. He was good on all six extra points. This year the 5-11, 177 pounder has kicked 12-13 extra points and 2-3 field goals. He has scored 18 points, fourth on the team.

Sept. 17

Offense

Running back Nathan Anderson (Sr., Marinette, Wis.) had one of his best games for the Falcons in the team's 48-37 loss to Pacific Lutheran on Saturday at Ramer Field. The 5-9, 214 pounder carried the ball 39 times and led all players with 203 rushing yards. He had a long of 37 yards and averaged 5.2 yards per carry. He scored twice on runs of 1-yard in the third quarter and 6-yards in the fourth quarter. After three games he leads the Falcons in rushing with 422 yards.

Defense
Tackle Sean Wolf (Sr., Jordan, Minn.) played well for the Falcons in the line in the team's 48-37 loss to Pacific Lutheran on Saturday at Ramer Field. The 5-10, 235 pounder had one solo tackle for a three-yard loss. In three games this year he has three solo and nine tackles. He has 1.5 tackles for loss and a fumble recovery.

Sept. 10

Offense

Tight end Connor Graves (Jr., Grantsburg, Wis.) had a solid game for the Falcons in the team's 21-10 loss to No. 3 ranked St. John's on Saturday. Graves, 6-1, 225 pounds, caught three passes for 23 yards with a long of eight. He also blocked well in helping the Falcons gain 134 rushing yards.

Defense
End Gregg Neumann (Sr., Lakeville, Minn.) was one of the team's top players in a 21-10 loss to No. 3 ranked St. John's on Saturday. He had two solo and six total stops. The 6-4, 240 pounder was credited with 1.5 sacks (seven yards) and 2.5 tackles for loss (15 yards).

Special Teams
Punter Jonathan Burns (So., Stillwater, Minn.) had a strong kicking game for the Falcons in the team's 21-10 loss to No. 3 ranked St. John's on Saturday. Burns, 5-10, 200 pounds, punted three times and averaged 35.3 yards per kick. He had one downed inside the 20.

Sept. 4

Offense

Quarterback Storm Harmon (Jr., Altoona, Wis.) had a near record setting day in the team's 54-24 win at Hope College on Saturday afternoon. Harmon came within four yards of setting a school record for passing yards in a game. He tied the school record for touchdown passes in a contest. He finished 17-24 for 306 yards and four touchdowns. He connected with four different receivers for touchdowns and he did not throw an interception. His long completion covered 45 yards. "Storm had a great day; he was very accurate on almost every throw. He got in a rhythm and was able to find and hit the open receiver," said Falcon Coach John O'Grady.

Defense
Linebacker Bruce Baillargeon (Sr., Somerset, Wis.) was one of the team's defensive leaders in UWRF's 54-24 win at Hope College on Saturday afternoon. He led the team in tackles with three solo and 10 total stops.

Special Teams
Kicker Dan Keller (Jr., St. Paul, Minn. Cretin-Derham Hall HS) was perfect on all of his kicks in the team's 54-24 win at Hope College on Saturday afternoon. Keller, 5-11, 177 pounds, was good on all three extra points and kicked a 28-yard field goal in the second quarter to give the Falcons a 33-3 lead. He also did some holding for extra points.
