Abdi Hassan (Fr., Burnsville, Minn.) was the top Falcon to cross the finish line at the WIAC Meet held at UW-Whitewater on Saturday. He finished 20th to earn All-WIAC honorable mention honors. He was second fastest freshman in the race and finished the 8,000-meter course in 26:21. "Abdi ran a very good race in his first WIAC Meet," said Falcon Coach Keven Syverson. "He worked his way up from being in 50th place at the mile mark to finish 20th. He helped the team to a sixth place finish." |

Indy Liljevall (So., Lake City, Minn. Lincoln HS) had a solid race at the Wissota Invitational held Friday. Liljevall, 5-11, was the first Falcon across the finish line. He covered the 6,000-meter course in 28:52 and finished seventh overall. “Indy has really come on throughout this season and will run in the WIAC Meet on Saturday at Whitewater,” said Falcon Coach Keven Syverson. |

Chad Ernst (Sr., Richfield, Minn.) was the team’s top runner at the Drews Invitational held Saturday and hosted by UW-La Crosse. Ernst, 5-6, ran the 8,000-meter course in 26:08.5 and placed 51st overall. His time was his best of the season. |

Rich Mark (So., Red Wing, Minn.) had his best time of the season for the Falcons at the Blugold Open held Friday. He ran the 8,000-meter course in 26:40 and placed 17 th overall. Mark, 5-11, was the third Falcon to cross the finish line. "Rich had a great race and showed his composure throughout the race," said Falcon Coach Keven Syverson. "He had a very nice last two miles and passed a lot of runners in that stretch." |

Scott Bowman (Jr., McFarland, Wis.) had his best race ever at the Griak Invitational held Saturday at the University of Minnesota. He finished in 27:24.7 over the 8,000-meter course and placed 61 st overall. "Scott had a 40 second personal best on a tough Griak course and was our second runner," said Falcon Coach Keven Syverson. "He had a very good summer of training and it is paying off in his performances." |

Abdi Hassan (Fr., Burnsville, Minn.) was the team’s top finisher at the Luther All-American Invitational held Saturday in Decorah, Iowa. Hassan, 6-2, covered the four-mile course in 21:01. He placed third overall in the race. “This was only Abdi’s fifth cross country meet ever,” said Falcon Coach Keven Syverson. “He was our No. 1 runner and he showed a lot of poise during the race.” |
