Football CampsWishbone Camp @ UWRF - July 13-16, 2008 - Cost: $270 Camp Application - Word Document We are offering our 35th Wishbone Camp again this summer at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. We led the Wisconsin State University Conference in rushing from 1974 - 2005 and NCAA Div. III in 1989, 1992, 1994, 1997 and 1998. Our staff, along with other high school wishbone coaches will teach the fundamentals of this great offense. We are running the UW-River Falls Wishbone Camp on the same dates as the O & D Camp. This adds an extra day to the Wishbone Camp. The organization of this camp will be the same as it has been in the past. Both camps will be run independently in terms of offensive installation.
John O'Grady has completed his 18th year as Falcons football coach after enjoying success as a player and coach at all levels of the college game. The 1998 Falcons tied for first place in the WIAC. They finished with a 7-3 overall record. The team led the entire country in rushing offense averaging 394 yards per game. The Falcons have led the NCAA Divison III in rushing in 1989, 1992, 1994, 1997 and 1998 O'Grady, 53, played for the Falcons from 1972-75 and earned four letters. He was the team captain and voted most dedicated in 1975 when the Falcons won their first WSUC title in 18 years. He played linebacker. He coached for two years at Miami University of Ohio as an offensive line coach and offensive special teams coordinator. Before that, he coached at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1985-86) as an offensive line coach and special teams coordinator, at Kent State University, Ohio, where he was offensive coordinator/offensive line and offensive special teams coordinator (1983-84), and at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a part time assistant coach of tight ends and special teams (1981-82). He also was an assistant at UW-River Falls (1976-80) as a linebacker, secondary and special teams coach. O'Grady played football at Sullivan High School, Chicago, Ill., from 1968-71 and was team captain, most valuable player and winner of a coaches award as a senior. He is a native of Worcester, Mass.
