Jana Benitz

As third year player Jana Benitz returns for this season, the guard will be counted on to provide leadership and experience for this young Falcon roster. Benitz saw limited action in the 2006-2007 season after recovering from a knee injury that sidelined her for a portion of the 2005-2006 season. In the 2005-2006 season, Benitz saw action in 19 games, averaging 16 minutes and five points per game. Jana was named UWRF Player of the Game against UW-Platteville. Benitz transferred to UWRF from UW-Stout. At Plum City High School she was named to the first team All-Conference for three seasons. Jana was a three-year starter and was twice the team's captain as a four-year letter winner. She appeared in the All-Northwest All-Star game her senior year. She also competed in volleyball, track and field, as well as several academic areas and community clubs. Jana is an elementary education major with a coaching minor.

Caitlin Hunstock

Caitlin Hunstock returns to the Falcons for her third season in 2007-08. The senior appeared in 10 games last season and in the 2005-2006 season she saw action in 22 of the team's 26 games. With the youth the Falcons have, the senior will be called up for her veteran leadership. She can step outside and shoot the three or get inside and post up. Her versatility will help fill gaps at multiple positions for the Falcons this season. Before transferring to River Falls, Caitlin played a year in Pennsylvania at West Chester University. Hunstock played at Minneapolis South High School where she was the team's Most Valuable Player in 2004. She was named to the all-conference team three times and was her team's captain twice. She earned four letters and was a three-year starter. Caitlin is majoring in sociology with minors in criminal justice and Spanish.

Jenna Hanson

After transferring to River Falls following her freshman season at Winona State University, Hanson joins the 2007-08 Falcons looking to be a major contributor at the guard position. In high school Hanson was named to the 2005 All-Conference team. Jenna is majoring in sociology with a minor in criminal justice.

Kelli Hilt

As the 2006-2007 season begins, sophomore Kelli Hilt will be relied upon heavily to provide the Falcons with game experience in the WIAC. During the 2006-2007 campaign, Hilt appeared in all 27 games for the Falcons including 19 starts. She averaged 21 minutes per game. Hilt came to River Falls following a stellar career at Lakeville North High School. For the Panthers, she averaged 10 points, four assists, four rebounds, and three steals per game. She was named team captain and earned all-conference in the tough Lake Conference her senior year. Her toughness and ability to see and read the floor will really shine through for the Falcons. She is majoring in business administration.

Krystal Parr

Krystal Parr enters into her second season with the Falcons coming off of an impressive freshmen year in 2006-2007 that included appearing in 23 games and leading the team in free-throw percentage. Despite being only a sophomore, Parr’s game experience will be counted on early in the season. Originally from Bloomer, Wis., Krystal was in the starting line up and earned a spot on the all-conference team all four years of her career. She led her team in three-point shots, assists, and had the best two-point average as well. Krystal was also chosen to be on the WBCA All-Star, All-Chippewa County and second All-Northwest teams. In addition to her achievements on the court, she also obtained the Fellowship of Christian Athletes award. Krystal is an elementary education major with a minor in coaching.

Tessa Rohl

As Tessa Rohl prepares for her sophomore year with the Falcons, she will be counted on to help the younger members of the team adjust to college basketball. Rohl saw some game action in the 2006-2007 season, appearing in 11 games. Rohl attended Buffalo High School where she earned three letters and was the team captain. She averaged 14 points, five rebounds and five assists in 2004-05. She was named all-conference her junior and senior years and was named the team's Most Valuable Player. Rohl also competed in volleyball and track & field. Academically Rohl was a member of the National Honor Society and took part in Students Stepping Up. Tessa is majoring in pre-med and biology, with a minor in chemistry.

Katie Theisen

A transfer guard from the University of Mary in North Dakota, Theisen will contribute to the 2007-08 Falcons at the guard position. In high school, the Andover native was twice named to the All-Conference Team, and was a recipient of the Coaches Award. Theisen is majoring in sociology.

Molly Brendum

Molly Brendum joins Coach Hovet’s Falcons for her freshman season after completing her high school career at River Falls High School. This season the River Falls native will look to contribute to the Falcons at the forward position. Brendum is majoring in business administration with an emphasis in management.

Ashley Fischer

As Fischer joins the Falcons for her freshman season, she looks to add depth to the forward position for the 2007-08 Falcons. She was named team captain her senior season at Park Center High School. Fischer was also named to the Honor Roll and was a Silver Scholar Award winner. Fischer is majoring in elementary education.

Nicole Hebl

Nicole joins the 2007-08 Falcons after finishing her high school career in Stewartville, Minn. The freshman will bring depth to the position. In high school Hebl was named team captain for her senior year. Hebl is majoring in business administration with a minor in German.

Tess Lardie

Lardie joins the Falcons for her freshman season under Coach Cindy Hovet. The freshman guard will look to contribute this season at the guard position. Her career at Eagan High School saw Lardie named to the Lake Conference Honorable Mention list in both the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons. Tess is majoring in health & human performance.

Lauren Pellowski

Lauren joins the 2007-08 Falcons following her career at Tartan High School. The Oakdale, Minn., native will be a force for the Falcons at the guard position. In her career at Tartan High School, Pellowski was named All-Conference Honorable Mention. Pellowski is undecided on a major field of study.

Brook Romanowski

Brook joins the Falcons for her freshman year following a stellar career at Cadott High School. Romanowski will play the forward position for the Falcons. The Cadott native was named All-Conference Honorable Mention her junior season of high school and was then named to the Second Team All-Conference squad her senior season. Brook is majoring in pre-veterinary medicine.

The Bloomington, Minn., native joins the Falcons for her freshman season and will play forward for Coach Cindy Hovet. Her high school career included being named All-Conference her senior season and team Mover Valuable Player. Her senior season she was also nominated for the Bloomington Athlete of the Year, and was the recipient of the Jaguar Award. Schoeneck is majoring in psychology.
