	Interns indicate duties performed : An intern, as well as any ACR employee, is responsible, for meeting the emotional and physical needs of the clients being supported. This means helping them meet personal goals and act as a role model. Interns assit clients with disabilities in teh daily living skills such as self-care, meals, transportation and medical needs.
	Students identified positive aspects of this placement: Watching and helping individuals grow on a daily basis is very rewarding. Being able to assist someone and change their lives for the better is wonderful. The clients at the ACR home in Woodbury are given the opportunity to live fulfilling, fun and safe lives with the help of the employees.
	Students identified difficulties typical in this placement: Some people may feel uncomfortable or scared working with individuals with disabilities. It certainly takes getting used to but is definitely worth the effort put in to help this population.
