    Ernest A. Lynton Award for Faculty Professional Service & Academic Outreach - The annual Ernest A. Lynton Award for Faculty Professional Service and Academic Outreach recognizes a faculty member who connects his or her expertise and scholarship to community outreach.     AACTE Best Practice Award for Service-Learning in Teacher Education - This award is intended to recognize exemplary practice in the use of service-learning in teacher education. Growing out of the work of AACTE and the National Service-Learning in Teacher Education Partnership (NSLTEP), the award recognizes excellence and identifies useful models of service-learning in teacher education.     National Rising Scholars Award - The National Forum on Higher Education for the Public Good, along with the Association for Institutional Research, American Association for Higher Education, American Educational Research Association, Association for the Study of Higher Education, and American College Personnel Association, is sponsoring up to five awards for pre-tenured faculty, early career practitioners, and advanced graduate students in any discipline in U.S. higher education institutions who engage in research that explores higher education's role in serving the public good.     Experiential Education Higher Education Leader of the Year

    Recognizes an NSEE higher education member who has demonstrated innovative uses of experiential learning in their institution.  Nomination criteria includes:

    • Active member of NSEE;
    • Employed by a 2 or 4-year degree granting institution;
    • Leadership role in crossing boundaries between traditional academic and experiential education.
    • Leadership role in design, development, and implementation of EE programs connecting the classroom, curriculum and campus/community based organizations;
    • Leadership/participation in national/regional conference sessions and/or publications contributing to EE;
    • Leadership in serving as a role model/mentor to newcomers and rising leaders in EE.

    Experiential Education Program of the Year

    Recognizes an outstanding K-12 or higher education institution that has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to experiential education in their classrooms or on their campuses.  Nomination criteria includes:

    • Institution or individuals in program leadership role(s) are active members of NSEE;
    • Goals and objectives of EE program consistent with NSEE mission and best practices;
    • Innovation in the design, implementation and evaluation of the EE program;
    • Outreach level and the depth and breadth of program impact between and among diverse groups and communities.
