In eSIS, Academic Terms will be defined using a four-digit code; we recommend that you familarize yourself with this code as you will encounter it regularly in eSIS.

Cheat Sheet for current year codes:

1082 = Fall 2007-08

1084 = J-Term 2007-08

1086 = Spring 2007-08

1088 = Summer 2007-08

In case you want to understand the logic behind the codes:

1st digit = Century

0 = 1900's

1 = 2000's

2nd & 3rd digits = last year of the Academic Year

Examples:

2002-2003 = 03

2003-2004 = 04

1985-1986 = 86

4th digit = the term

Fall = 2

J-Term = 4

Spring = 6

Summer = 8

Examples:

Fall semester, 2003-04 = 1042

Spring semester, 2004-05 = 1056

J-Term, 1997-98 = 0984
