So what’s new with DARwin?

February 2008:

Special Education (SPED) designator was approved and will affect the following courses; PSYC 330,333,420,421, and 423. Those courses are now SPED 330 (Exceptional Child), SPED 333 (Integration of Exceptional Children), SPED 420 (Intro to Learning Disabilities), SPED 421 (Mental Retardation), and SPED 423 (The Gifted Child).

September 2007:

Speech Communication and Theatre Arts Department has been changed to Communication Studies and Theatre Arts (SCTA to CSTA).

The Communication Studies Major is divided into tracks; Human Communication Emphasis: Professional and Organizational Communication Track, Personal/Cultural Communication Track, Public Communication Track. Also, Digital Film and Television Communication has been added as an option.

The Theatre Major has been divided into four tracks; Performance, Design/Tech, Management, and Dramaturgy tracks.

Health and Human Performance Studies Major has been changed to Exercise and Sport Science.

Option B minor in the College of Arts and Sciences changed to Interdisciplinary Minor.

New: Interdisciplinary Minor in the College of Education and Professional Studies

October 2006:

New: Crop & Soil Science (Sustainable Agriculture Emphasis) *

August 2006:

New: Animal Science (Vet Tech Emphasis) *

March 2006:

Agronomy minor changed to Crop & Soil Science Minor *

August 2005:

The new general education requirements are coded in DARwin for students following the 2005-07 catalog.
