Order Paper for your copier - and keep it separate from your general office paper.

What we do . . .

Copiers are provided in various departments on campus and are managed through the Publications Office. Most copiers are leased for a four-year period and are obtained from a state contract based on volume usage and department needs.

The Publications Office makes all lease and maintenance payments, which includes all supplies, such as toner and staples, and charges back the departments based on the number of copies made.

The cost of paper is not included in the cost of copies; what we charge for copies is based on 'clicks' to the machine. One 8.5x11 sheet printed on one side counts as one click. Printing on two sides counts as two clicks. For 11x17 sheets (which are twice the size), printing on a single side counts as two clicks, and printing on both sides would count as four clicks, total.

The reason our pricing structure is set up that way is not to discourage the use of two-sided printing (since you could get two individual single-sided sheets for the same price), but, due to certain limitations in the machines that don't differentiate between two individual sheets printed single sided, and one sheet printed on both sides, the cost of printing comes out the same. We do encourage the use of two-sided printing, when available, as it reduces the amount of paper needed in general.

The paper is paid for by the Publications Office and ordered from Central Stores through an online form.
