Freud: The Library of Congress Exhibit
This fascinating site contains items found in the United States Library of Congress exhibit on Sigmund Freud. Want to see a copy of Freud's birth certificate? (It's there!) Freud's engagement picture? (It's there!). An early sketch of his "sexual schema" concept? (It's there) A telegram concerning his visit to America (It's there!) A memo in which he questions his own seduction theory? (You guessed it!)

Mind - Body relationship: Rene Descartes to William James
True to its title, this site provides a nice historical review of the mind-body question beginning with Rene Descartes, continuing through the rise of experimentalism in the 1800s and through James descriptions of consciousness.

People in Psychology
This site provides access to background information on psychologists from Alfred Adler to Robert Yerkes (almost A-Z). In addition, there are links to Psychology Department Histories for several well-known universities. This is a fabulous resource for anyone conducting a biographical study of psychologists.

This site is the home page of The Industrial-organization Psychologist (TIP), the official newsletter of the Society for Industrial-Organizational Psychology. In addition to providing back issues of the newsletter, the page has links to numerous other I/O related sites around the world, a graduate school handbook, and job/grant information.

Society for Consumer Psychology
The home page for the Society of Consumer Psychology provides extensive links to a wide variety of information of use to anyone interested in advertising. This Ohio State University-based site provides key links to numerous other related organizations (e.g., Association for Consumer Research, American Marketing Association).

Located at Harvard University, this informative and interactive site offers an exhaustive visual review of the human brain. Hightlights include "Top 100 brain structures" and a "name that brain structure" game.

CyberPsychLink
Accessing this site will provide you with an overwhelming number of links to information on psychology and behavioral medicine including: databases, libraries, and software reviews.

Human Genome Project
At this site developed by James Kent at the University of California-Santa Clara past science fiction meets current science fact. Begin by scrolling to the link marked "Sept. 5, 2000 freeze", click on it and marvel as you take a virtual tour of the sequence of amino bases which combine to form the genes and chromosomes which make humans, human. After you have selected and submitted a chromosome, be sure to click on the "here to view DNA in window" to view GATTACA come to life!

This e-psych site offers a humerous and informative look into the human brain. Whether you are a neural novice or expert, this is definitely a site worth checking out!

Neuroscience for Kids
Perhaps the most educational and entertaining site in the "cool-links" family, this ill-named site would be more accurately named "Neuroscience for Kids, Adults, Students, Faculty, and basically any human interested in the brain." Highlights of the site include an experiment and activities section, the neuroscience network (where your nervous system questions can be posted for answer), and a fabulous visual exploration of the nervous system. This site is definitely worth a look!

Neurosciences on the Internet
This interesting site offers the student of neuroscience assess to an immense amount of information on the discipline. Available links range from software to news groups/forums to centers/labs to exams/tutorials.

Synapse Web
Powered by the "Human Brain Project", this truly exceptional web site provides visitors with the opportunity to complete several super tutorials on the brain and brain structures. The detailed photographs and drawing are also first rate. Budding neuroscientists will definitely want to bookmark this site!

American Psychological Association (APA)
This link is to the American Psychology Association. This organization has approximately 130,000 members and 50 divisions with a wide variety of subspecialties. Within this link you will find a lot of information concerning both academic and applied issues in psychology.

American Psychological Society (APS)
The American Psychological Society has more than 10,000 members and is the largest general psychology organization focusing mainly on research. This link provides individuals with access to a plethora of information on teaching and research. One especially helpful feature is a link to many psychology department web sites.

Divisions of the American Psychological Association
The American Psychological Association currently consists of areas of specialization referred to as "divisions." In this informative site you will find descriptions of all current divisions, from Division 1: General Psychology to Division 51: The Society for the Psychological Study of Men and Masculinity.

Wow! Is one word that one might use to describe this truly well-designed and useful mega-site. Sponsored by Jacksonville State University, this page offers access to links on psychology-related topics like careers, people and history in psychology, and Paradigms & Theories. Another MUST VISIT PAGE!

Mammoth Journal Link
This truly amazing University of Augsburg, Germany based-site contains a list and description of all Psychology and Social Science journals (1000+) currently in print. You can also access many journals to read information about the premise of the journal and about specific publication information.

Psi Chi Home Page
This link provides access to a colorful and interactive site containing information about Psi Chi, which is the National Honor Society in Psychology. Both potential and current Psi chi members will find this site a great place to visit.

Psychology Online Resources Central
A true MEGA LINKS site, the Psychology Online Resources Central offers links to virtually all issues of interest to psychology students and faculty. From an APA Writings Link to Interactive Web Sites to Publishers' Psychology Sites to Tips for Students to Psychology Student's Home Pages, this fabulous site (managed by Donna Stuber-McEwen at Friends University) is a DEFINITE MUST SEE!

Russ Dewey's Psych Web is one of the most extensive and well organized psychology-related site in cyber space. This up-to-date site provides information across a vast of array of topics including: careers in psychology, scholarly resources, and a self-quiz for introductory psychology. A SUPER SITE!

Psychological Science on the Net
"Wow," is word that describes this mega site containing links to everything from careers, to discussion groups, to on-line experiments/tests, to student tutorials. Be sure to set aside plenty of time to explore the many interesting pieces of information available at the Psychological Science on the Net site!

Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction
This site, dedicated to pioneering sex research Alfred Kinsey (1894-1956), contains some of the most current research on sexual behavior in the world. The multiple award winning site allow access to research and publications, library and special collections, and links to other resources.

Minnesota Center Against Violence and Abuse
The "electronic clearinghouse" provides links to issues on violence and abuse too numerous to mention. A partial list of materials available on this extensive site include links to youth and gang violence, violence in schools, domestic abuse and violence against women. If you need to write a term paper on violence issues, this should be your first stop!

Sexual orientation: Science, education, and policy
This in depth site features work by Dr. Gregory Herek, noted authority on antigay prejudice (or homophobia), hate crimes, and AIDS stigma. A few of the more detailed discussion areas include gay people in the military, facts about gay men and lesbians, homophobia, and stopping anti-gay hate crimes.

Anyone with an interest in the phenomena of dreaming will love this link. The Dreams and Dreaming site (sponsored by Think Quest) addresses issues from Theories of Dreaming (Freud, Jung, Cayce, Crick and Mitchinson, etc...), to the Mechanisms of Sleep, to Keeping a Dream Journal.

Center for the Study of Group Processes
This interesting site is based out of the Center for the Study of Group Processes located at the sociology department at the University of Iowa. While offering interesting links to numerous social psychology web sites, it most useful feature is it on-line electronic journal, Current Research in Social Psychology.

Prisoner's Dilemma
This interactive site allows the visitor to participate in the prisoner's dilemma exercise. This classic study of social cognition might be of interest to fans of the television show "Survivor" as it investigates issues of competition versus cooperation.

Social Psychology Network
This highly informative link (based at Wesleyan University) provides access to a ton of information of interest to social psychologists including: a rank-ordered list of U.S. Ph.D. graduate programs in psychology, home pages of some social psychologists, and access to other sites dedicated to social psychology.

Sports Psychology
Sports psychology is one of the newer academic areas in psychology. This Mintools-based site contains a great overview for any students interested in this developing field. Highlights of the link include Goal Setting for Motivation and Self-Confidence, Imagery & Simulation, Focus & Flow - How to Achieve Perfect Concentration, and Getting Into Sport Psychology.

The Stanley Milgram Site
Host Dr. Thomas Blass has put together an impressive site dedicated to Stanley Milgram, one of the talked about psychologists in history. Interesting internal links include, Little Known Facts about Milgram, Stanley Milgram Basics, and Memorable Milgram Quotes.
