Scholarships funds
The following scholarships are available for Political Science and Pre-Law students. For further information, contact the Office of Financial Aid.
Dr. Ray Anderson Scholarship is awarded to a student majoring or minoring in Political Science. Student must have completed at least six semester hours in Political Science, must be active in parisan or nonpartisan politics at the national, state or local level or in student government. Preference given to students who are or have been involved in environmental politics.
Robert L. Berg Scholarship is awarded to a student in political science who has completed at least 60 credits with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Lew Garrison Coit Scholarship is awarded to a student with an outstanding academic record, who demonstrates leadership ability, and is majoring in Economics or Government and related programs.
Denis P. Hickey Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a junior in the upper 1/3 of the class who shows evidence of leadership capabilities through active participation in school, church, or community activities, and is making satisfactory progress toward completion of the degree as determined by the academic advisor.
Dominic Svec Family Memorial Scholarship is awarded to students majoring in Political Science. Preference will be given to a student from the Ellsworth area. Preference will be given to a student who may have given serious consideration to working for the federal or state government in some capacity.
Kenneth S. White Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a sophomore or junior political science major pursuing pre-law curriculum.
