The Political Science Department offers a B.S. or a B.A. in Political Science. Most students opt for the B.S., consequently the information presented here refers to that degree. If you are
interested in pursuing a B.A., contact your advisor or a member of the political science faculty.
The department also offers a Minor in Political Science for students with majors in other departments. For
information about the minor click on the hightlighted term.
To graduate with a Major in Political Science, a student must complete the following set of requirements.
General Education Requirements (43 credits)
Liberal Arts Requirements (10 credit minimum) Political Science Major Requirements (36 credits) Minor Requirements (see below) (24 credits)
General Electives (7 credits)

Criminal Justice
Economics
Ethnic Studies
History
International Studies Women's Studies
