Research

Research interests at UWRF include laser physics (McCann), liquid crystals (Korenic), astronomical photography (Vonk), and astrophysics (Hardtke), (Madsen) and (Spiczak).

UWRF is the only undergraduate university of the 26 international institutions that make up the IceCube collaboration. UW-RF students and faculty (Hardtke, Madsen, Spiczak) participate in this cutting-edge experiment to construct and operate a high energy neutrino telescope embedded in the 3 km thick South Polar Ice Cap. IceCube efforts at UWRF can be found here.
