Dr. Blodgett greatly enjoys teaching the experimental side of physics at all levels, from introductory labs through advanced laboratory. He is very interested in learning more about how students learn physics, with the goal of constantly reexamining and improving how our own introductory courses are taught. In addition, he is the advisor to the UWRF Chapter of the Society of Physics Students (SPS). He served on the National SPS Council for six years as the Zone Councilor for Zone 9, and he is presently in his first term as President of SPS. For several years he has served as the chair of a committee overseeing the UWRF Broad Field Science Programs. He is a member of the American Association of Physics Teachers and the Acoustical Society of America.

Dr. Blodgett has his B.S. from UW-River Falls and his Ph.D. from Washington University, St. Louis, MO.
