St. Croix Community Band Gears Up for 25 th Summer

JUNE 2, 2008--Community musicians interested in performing with the St. Croix Valley Community Band for the summer are invited to meet on Tuesdays in June and Tuesdays and Thursdays in July starting June 10 for rehearsals from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hudson Senior High School in Hudson, Wis.

Free concerts are planned throughout the summer, including:

·Saturday, July 19 at 6 p.m. in the Lakefront Park Bandshell, Hudson. The concert is part of both the Phipps Center for the Arts and the St. Croix Valley Community Band's 25 th anniversary celebrations.

·Tuesday, July 22, 7 p.m., Peterson's Valley View Far, 3148 150 th Ave., Glenwood City, Wis. Donations accepted for pie/ice cream social and dinner at 5 p.m. Guests should bring lawn chairs.

·Wednesday, July 23, 7 p.m., Heritage Center, S. Knowles Ave., New Richmond, Wis. Farmer's market and food available for purchase. Guests should bring lawn chairs.

·Thursday, July 24, 7 p.m., Location TBA, River Falls, Wis.
