Business Research Seminars Presented

FEB. 15, 2008-The College of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is presenting faculty research seminars throughout the spring semester and the next is Feb. 29. "Effectiveness of the Turkish Corporate Governance System: CEO Changes and Performance Measures" presented by Ali Dalkilic, a graduate student in the accounting program at UWRF, is from 3 to 4:15 p.m. in Room 321 South Hall. Preceding the lecture will be a reception at 2:45.

Dalkilic is a native and resident of Turkey who brings a plethora of rich information on Turkish corporate governance system. Dalkilic has analyzed the effectiveness of the Turkish corporate governance system by utilizing data from the Istanbul Stock Exchange companies. Information as CEO turnover and corporate performance measures are used as dependent and independent variables in trying to determine the effectiveness of the system.
