Eight To Be Named to UWRF Athletic Hall Of Fame

SEPT. 21, 2007--Eight new members will be inducted into the UW-River Falls Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, Oct. 13. The eight include:

• Jennifer (Pontius) Alwin of Ellsworth - Track & Field 1993-96
• Aaron Arf of Minnetonka, Minn. - Hockey 1993-96
• Gary Eloranta of River Falls - Athletic Trainer
• Amy Holm - Volleyball 1993-96
• Korey Knott of River Falls - Tennis 1989-91
• Adam Kowles of Hudson - Football 1992-95
• Amy Stenson of Hastings, Minn. - Softball 1993-96
• Cara (Gustafson) Rubis of River Falls - Volleyball 1993-96

The Hall of Fame members will be recognized at halftime of the Falcon football game against UW-Eau Claire. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

The reception and induction ceremonies will be at the Riverview Ballroom in the University Center. A social hour will begin at 5 p.m. followed by dinner and the induction ceremonies.
