Black History Month Events PlannedJAN. 29, 2007--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Black Student Union is hosting a series of events in celebration of Black History Month in February. All events are open to the public. "Racism in the University Classroom: Does it Exist at UWRF?" is a panel discussion of students, faculty, staff and community members from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 5 in the St. Croix Room of the University Center. Free. "It's About Time: The Remix" is a dynamic performance featuring theatrical, vocal and dance performances as well as poetry readings. The event is set for Feb. 15 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Falcon's Nest entertainment Complex of the University Center. Free. A soul food dinner is planned for Feb. 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Journey House, 143 E. Cascade Ave., River Falls. Cost is $3 for students, free to children 5 and under and $5 for faculty, staff and the public. A Freedom and Expression event with an open microphone is set for Feb. 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Falcon's Nest entertainment complex of the University Center.
