Mozart's Birthday to be Celebrated Nov. 12NOV. 3, 2006--Goethe was prophetic when he said, "A phenomenon like Mozart remains an inexplicable thing." Two hundred fifty years after Mozart's birth, the fascination with the virtuoso still endures. The St. Croix Symphony Orchestra at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls has arranged a "Happy Birthday, Mozart!" concert for 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 12 in the performed in the Abbott Concert Hall of the Kleinpell Fine Arts building. Birthday cake and balloons will be provided. The concert features the talents of the symphony, the Concert Choir and solos by Scott Perau, Yoon-Na Hwang, Patrick Callaghan, and Katherine Waldo. Selections from Marriage of Figaro and Don Giovanni amongst others will be performed. UWRF associate Professor Kristin Tjornehoj is set to conduct.
