University Theatre Starts Season With One-Act Plays

SEPT. 1, 2006--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls University Theatre kicks off the 2006-07 season with "An Evening of One-Act Plays" by David Ives at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 13 - 16 in the Blanche Davis Theatre of the Kleinpell Fine Arts Building.

Ives' one-acts include "As Time Flies," "Bolero," "Arabian Nights," and "Lives of the Saints." Profits from the production benefit the UW-RF Theatre Restoration Fund. The box office is open two weeks before first performance 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and one hour before each performance.

Upcoming productions in the 2006-07 season include "She Stoops to Conquer" by Oliver Goldsmith, Oct. 19-21 and 26-28; "Sorry! Wrong Chimney!" sponsored by Masquers, the student theater organization, on Dec. 7 - 9 and 14 - 16; "The God of Hell" by Sam Shepard, Feb. 22 - 24 and March 1 - 3; and "The Diary of Anne Frank," April 13-14 and 19-21.
