UW-RF Home > Public Affairs Home > This Month's News Releases Public AffairsLANGUAGE PROGRAM OFFERED IN JANUARY FOR KIDSDEC. 2, 2005--Classes designed to immerse elementary students in several languages and cultures through songs, games and hands-on activities will be offered on campus this winter by the University of Wisconsin-River Falls outreach office. The Global Kids program offers an eight week session in French or Japanese for elementary age children. The fee is $95 for eight weeks. French will be offered on Tuesday afternoons, Jan. 10- Feb. 28. Grades K-2 meet at 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. and grades 3-5 meet 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. Japanese will be offered on Thursday afternoons, Jan. 12-March 2. Grades K-2 meet at 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. and grades 3-5 meet 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. Students who were enrolled in the fall language program will also be enrolled in the winter classes so early registration is advised. All classes are held on the UW-River Falls campus at locations with convenient drop off and pick up areas The UW-RF outreach office provides lifelong learners with academic and professional development programs that are practical, flexible, convenient, and affordable.
