ART DEPARTMENT HOLDS ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP SALE

NOV. 11, 2005-- The University of Wisconsin-River Falls Art Department will hold its annual Scholarship Sale, which will run from Nov. 30 to Dec. 14 in Gallery 101 of the Kleinpell Fine Arts building on campus.

There is a vast array of artistic selections available for purchase that can make one-of-a-kind holiday presents. Visitors can choose from glass, ceramics, painting, fibers, jewelry, printmaking, photography and mixed media.

Artwork is provided by current art students as well as faculty, alumni, retired faculty and a variety of local artisans.

Participating artists will retain 65-70 percent of the proceeds. The remainder will go to the art department for scholarships and the student Art Society fund.

The gallery is open during regular business hours of 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. weekdays and on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
