UW-RF Home > Public Affairs Home > This Month's News Releases Public AffairsSENIOR ART SHOW SET FOR NOV. 16-23 The work of Allison Castore of Roseville, Minn., Tracy Herlache from Lake Elmo, Minn., and Andy Smith of Inver Grove Heights, Minn., will make a diverse exhibition including jewelry, black-and-white photography and tapestry weaving. Castore's jewelry ranges from strong linear designs to flat shapes dependent on contrasting surface elements. She uses primarily brass and silver, focusing her designs on the metal's quality instead of using precious stones. Herlache's tapestries explore emotion through color, form and texture. Her innovative approach to her work offers an uncommon viewing experience. Smith's photography looks at the relationship between the city and its surfaces. An opening reception for this exhibition will be held Nov. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The gallery is also open on Sundays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information contact the UW-RF Art department at 715/425-3266. -30-
