UW-RF Home > Public Affairs Home > This Month's News Releases Public AffairsLION'S PAW CLUB TO MEET NOV. 9OCT. 28, 2005--Follow Charles Dickens as he begins his literary career and becomes one of the first true celebrities in the biography, "Charles Dickens: A Penguin Life," this month's choice for the Lion's Paw Book Club at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. The club will discuss the book on Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. in the second floor breezeway of the Chalmer Davee Library. This event is free and open to the public. "Charles Dickens: A Penguin Life" is the first book written by popular author Jane Smiley in the Penguin Life series. The discussion will be led by retired UW-RF math professor Ed Rang.
