CUSTOMER COMMITMENT TOPIC OF SEMINAR

OCT. 28, 2005--A presentation on the determinants of selling orientation, customer orientation, and linkage with customer commitment will be held at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Nov. 11 at 3:15 p.m in room 321 South Hall.

The event is free and open to the public.

Ozcan Kilic is an assistant professor in the UW-RF College of Business and Economics who received his Ph.D from Istanbul University.

The title of his presentation is, "Does customer orientation lead to customer commitment?" Kilic will discuss how there is research being done on customer orientation but there is a lack of investigation of the firm's customer orientation and the link to customer commitment. The research model was developed and a questionnaire was derived from the SOCO scale of 450 dealers of a leading jeans producer in Turkey. The presentation is meant to give insight to distribution channels, channel member behavior and the level of commitment of channel members in an international setting like Turkey.

There will be a social and refreshment time from 3 to 3:15 p.m. in room 317 of South Hall, with the presentation following from 3:15-4 p.m. in room 321 of South Hall.

The event is part of an ongoing Friday Seminar Series put on by the UW-RF Center for Economic Research. The next seminar will be presented by Megan Sun on what drives volume and volatility on Dec. 2.
