BUSINESS COLLEGE CELEBRATION WEEK TO BE HELD

OCT. 21, 2005--Presentations by business leaders, internship seminars for students and an open house will highlight a week-long celebration Oct. 24-29 sponsored by the UW-River Falls College of Business and Economics.

All events are free and open to the public in South Hall on campus.

An internship panel will be held on Oct. 24 for students to learn about how and when to access CBE internship opportunities. It will be held from 12-1 p.m. in the Alumni Room in South Hall.

On Oct. 25 David Swensen, a 1975 UW-RF graduate and the 1996 Distinguished Alumnus, will speak on "Managing Yale's Endowment" from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the River Room in Rodli Commons. Swensen is the manager of one of the largest high education endowments in the nation.

A panel on international study opportunities will be held Oct. 27 from 12-1 p.m. in the Alumni Room of South Hall.

There will be a Senior Career Services Seminar held on Oct. 28 from 12-1 p.m. in the Alumni Room covering how upperclassmen can get the best start on a career.

The CBE Homecoming Open House will provide alumni tours and networking opportunities from 10 a.m. to noon in the Alumni Room.

In addition to the panels and seminars, each of the five CBE student professional organizations will hold a club meeting during the week open to all students.
