Radio Jock to Visit Campus
AUG. 26, 2005--Air America Radio personality and winner of the 2005 March of Dimes Achievement in Radio Award Mike Malloy will speak at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls on Sept. 13 from 7 to 9 p.m. in North Hall Auditorium.
A former writer for CNN with radio experience at WLS-AM in Chicago and WSB-AM in Atlanta, Malloy is known for his "caustic, abrasive, inventive, confrontational and resolutely left of center" style, according to Salon.com.
Malloy's radio show airs in the Twin Cities on 950 AM from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. or via streaming radio at www.airamericaradio.com or www.mikemalloy.com .
The event is sponsored by the UW-RF College Democrats, the St. Croix County Democrats and the Progressive Messengers.
