Economics, Quality of Life Discussed at Forum
MAY 20, 2005--A community forum to discuss quality of life and economic
development in Pierce County is from 8 to 10 a.m. June 9 at the Regional
Development Institute Building at UW-River Falls.
Regional leaders in business, industry and education are invited to the
county forums to discuss issues of human capital, innovation, financial
capital, communications infrastructure, physical infrastructure and quality
of place.
Topics from the forum will be used to create a "State of the Region
Report" that will be presented at the third annual regional Synergy
2005 Conference set for Eau Claire on Sept. 14-15.
Forums were held in May in nine western-Wisconsin counties including Barron,
Polk, and St. Croix counties. A forum in Pepin County is scheduled from
8 to 10 a.m. May 25 in the County Board Room at the Courthouse in Durand.
