Hudson "Exploring U" Features Family Communication
APRIL 15, 2005--The University of Wisconsin-River Falls College of Outreach
and Graduate Studies will host a program on family communication as part
of its Exploring U series on April 27 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hudson
Hospital Conference Center located at 405 Stageline Road.
The series is an ongoing effort to bring resources to parents, grandparents
and expectant parents in the Hudson area and to increase awareness of
programs available at UW-RF.
UW-RF professor of speech communication and theatre arts Barbara Werner
will present "Communication, Conflict and Relational Type."
Conflict in relationships is neither good nor bad; it is a fact, says
Werner.
Werner will explain how to manage conflict and understand how different
relationship types communicate. During this interactive presentation Werner
will discuss relationship types and show how differences in types affect
the communication and conflict that is likely to arise within families
and between adults.
All sessions are free and open to the public. Reservations are encouraged
but not required. For reservations, call 715/425-3256 or email the office
of outreach and graduate studies at outreach@uwrf.edu.
