Acoustic Series Presents Noted Musician Chinua Hawk

JAN. 28, 2005--Musician Chinua Hawk will be performing as part of the UW-River Falls Acoustic Series at 8 p.m., Feb. 15, in Brandy's at the Hagstad Student Center on the UW-RF campus.

Hawk believes he was destined to be a singer. He began singing at the Friendship Baptist Church at a young age in Trenton, N.J. Over the years Hawk has toured throughout the country and sold albums in the United States, France, England, Japan, Switzerland and Canada. Hawk has performed with Celine Dion, written songs with Wyclef Jean and appeared on rapper Talib Kwali's song "Get By".
