Free February Concerts at UW-RF

JAN. 28, 2005--UW-River Falls offers a rich musical line-up of concerts for the month of February. All concerts will be held in the William Abbott Concert Hall in the Kleinpell Fine Arts Building on the UW-RF campus. All performances are free and open to the public.

By presenting concerts and sponsoring numerous musical events on- and off-campus, the UW-RF music department aims to provide diverse educational opportunities in music and cultural enrichment programs for the University, its students and the community.

In addition, the UW-RF music department seeks to stimulate the cultural growth of the University and community through regional, national and international concert tours. For more information call the music department at 715/425-3183

Concerts offered during February on the UW-RF campus include:
• Feb. 4, 1 p.m. St. Croix Valley Music Educators Jazz Festival hosts a variety of events held throughout the day, including a concert by UW-RF Jazz Ensemble I, directed by UW-RF associate Professor David Milne.
• Feb. 17, 8 p.m. Piano guest recital by David Munkittrick, 2002 River Falls High School graduate.
• Feb. 19, 8 p.m.Jazz Classics Concert performed by the UW-RF Jazz Ensembles I and II, directed by UW-RF associate Professor David Milne.
