Play Explores Discrimination

NOV. 5, 2004--A play exploring what happens when friendship is tested by the social notion of differences, "By Noon," will be performed on Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. in the North Hall Auditorium at UW-River Falls.

George Aiken's play explores the concept of difference. Aiken says, "If one morning everyone woke up, and there was only one race, one creed, one color ... someone would find a reason to discriminate by noon."

The Bridges Series is sponsored by the UW-RF Diversity Awareness Committee and is intended to foster a sense of acceptance, understanding and cooperation among members of the community.

"By Noon" is open to the public and free to UW-RF students. Non-student admission is $5. For more information call the Student Leadership Center at 715/425-4911.
