| | | Details | American films illustrate the public's love/hate relationship with journalism. Reporters are portrayed as "good guys" (crusaders, detectives, heroes) and "bad guys" (scandalmongers, drunks and villains). The course will focus on the changing image of journalists from early to recent movies and the effects those images have on public perception. Co-listed as FILM 305. (SP, alternate years). |
