Details	This course provides the background in language acquisition and disorders needed to meet state and national requirements for Reading Teachers and Reading Specialists. Candidates study theories of language development, best practices for supporting development of language for typically developing children and those with, or at risk for, language disorders, and the relationship between oral and written language skills. Prerequisite: graduate admission. SS, 3 cr.
