| | | Details | This course exposes students to the principles and issues associated with mental health development, with an emphasis on the adjustment needs of children and adolescents. Students gain knowledge and skills related to the administration, scoring and interpretation of various mental health adjustment instruments for school-age children and adolescents, and in using information gained from assessment to develop appropriate services and interventions for children and adolescents. Evidence-based interventions will be emphasized. The synthesis and integration of the data gained from assessment instruments into a psychological report will also be addressed. Prerequisite: standing as a specialist student or consent of instructor. (Sp) |
