DetailsThis course will examine contemporary psychological perspectives in the study of prejudice and racism. Specifically, we will briefly examine the history of racist and prejudiced thought in American society and current psychological theories of racism and prejudice In meeting these objectives we will focus on a variety of racial/ethnic groups including African Americans, Asian Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, and White American. Prerequisites: PSYC 101. (Sp)
