The course includes an overview of the properties of porous media, the physical occurrence of subsurface water, groundwater flow mechanics, regional flow systems, well hydraulics and design, aquifer geology, groundwater resources, groundwater contamination and transport, remediation techniques, and an introduction to groundwater modeling. Laboratory activities, research projects, and field activities. Field trip required. Prerequisites: ESM 360, GEOL 102, (MATH 166 is recommended).(Sp) |
