Online Learning for Educators
College of Education and Professional Studies
Build your professional development plan under PI 34 with courses that are aligned with Wisconsin Educator Standards. Conveniently delivered and always available, this selection of one-credit, online, graduate courses make it easier for educators to get the professional development they need. Classes are developed and taught by experienced teachers, faculty and administrators and are offered throughout the year. Each class may be completed in just seven weeks.
- All teachers seeking recertification credits
- Busy professionals who don’t have the opportunity to come to campus
- Students who want to explore a new method of learning
- Parents, childcare professionals, youth and community directors and other professionals who work in alternative educational settings

- Courses will never be cancelled; there is no minimum enrollment number required
- All students pay the tuition rate of a Wisconsin resident, regardless of where they live (for 2008, tuition is $342.30 per credit)
- All course work is asynchronous, so you don't have to log on at a specific time to participate
- Practical and timely topics that can be immediately applied in the workplace
- All instructors are trained in adult education
- The UWRF Teacher Education Department is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation for Teacher Education (NCATE) and approved by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and is a National Education Association (NEA) Exemplary Teacher Education Program

- Students must have a bachelor’s degree but teaching certification or licensure is not required.
