Learning Disabilities Teacher Certification

UW-River Falls has condensed its Learning Disabilities (LD) Teacher Certification program so you can fast-track completion of the requirements in just one calendar year, or take a second year to complete the program if you need the extra time.

This program was created to meet the most current standards of Wisconsin DPI for certification as a Learning Disabilities Teacher and is taught by UWRF faculty who are experts in the field, and have experience teaching students with learning disabilities in a K-12 setting.
NOTE: The catalog name for the following courses was changed from Psychology (PSYC) to Special Education (SPED) beginning Summer 2008.
- Completed application for graduate study at UWRF with $45 processing fee.
- An earned baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
- Official transcripts from each institution attended, sent directly to Graduate Studies from the institution.
- An overall undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.75 (on a four-point scale) or a graduate GPA of at least 3.0 in 12 or more graduate credits.
- Wisconsin teaching licensure, elementary or secondary
