Technology for Educators

Educators and other instructors or trainers who want to:
- Apply technology to meet important learning objectives
- Increase teaching capabilities through technology
- Integrate educational technology into the classroom
- Experience and learn about the online learning environment

- New and improved in 2007 with curriculum designed by K-12 educators
- Discover technological tools that will enrich lesson plans and extend learning beyond the classroom
- Courses and instructors address current issues in education and technology
- Meets four Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction teaching standards
- Classes conveniently offered online for 24-7 access during the school year and summers
Beginning Spring 2008, all classes may be taken online. Individual classes within the certificate program can also be taken to satisfy DPI teaching standards or as graduate credits to fulfill personal or professional development plans.
EDTC 600 Introduction to Technology: Tools for the Teacher, 3 credits Test out option available
EDTC 602 Integrating Technology into the Curriculum, 3 credits
EDTC 603 New Technology for the Classroom, 3 credits NEW
EDTC 798 Independent Study, 1-3 credits
- Completed application for graduate study at UWRF with $45 processing fee.
- An earned baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
- Official transcripts from all institutions attended as an undergraduate student, sent directly to Graduate Studies from the institution.
- An overall undergraduate grade point average of at least 2.75 (on a four-point scale) or an average of at least 2.90 based on the last 60 semester credits (90 quarter credits) of the undergraduate program.
