Dissemination of PolicyThe University of Wisconsin-River Falls is committed to the implementation of equal employment opportunity and for the elimination of discrimination and recognizes the need to take affirmative action where underutilization exists. The University maintains a written Affirmative Action Plan, which includes an analysis of utilization and goals to increase the employment of underrepresented or underutilized protected groups of persons. The Equity, Affirmative Action and Compliance website (www.uwrf.edu/oec) was updated and expanded during the summer of 2006. Relevant policies and material, including AA Plan narratives, are posted on the site. In addition, the Affirmative Action Plan, in whole or in part, is distributed in the following manner internally:
The Policy Statement on Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunities is published on the University of Wisconsin-River Falls website, in the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Faculty Handbook, and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Classified Employee Handbook. All new employees receive copies of either the Faculty Handbook or the Classified Handbook, as appropriate, at the time of employment. Handbook materials are also on the University website. The annual update of the Affirmative Action Plan includes an analysis of progress made, together with recommendations for corrective actions necessary to meet expected goals and objectives.
