River Falls Brass Gives Free Concert
The UW-River Falls music department will sponsor a performance by the River
Falls Brass on Nov. 2, at 8 p.m. in Abbott Concert Hall of the Kleinpell Fine
Arts Building.
This brass quintet consists of UW-RF faculty members Tomas Barnett, Craig Hara,
Rick Gaynor, Andrew Parks, and Charles Wazanowski. River Falls Brass has a varied
and impressive background performing in symphony orchestras, jazz ensembles,
Broadway musicals, film and television scores, and a variety of brass chamber
ensembles.
Individually, ensemble members have performed with many distinguished groups
including the Minnesota Orchestra, Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Los Angeles
Philharmonic and the New World Symphony. They have accompanied international
artits such as Doc Severinsen, The Temptations, The Moody Blues, Lionel Hampton,
and Luciano Pavarotti.
The performance will include will include pieces by Victor Ewald, Edward Gregson
and Eric Ewazen, along with a couple other election day surprises. It is free
